Backgrounds & Parallax

Set the mood with light, dark, or custom backgrounds and 150+ animated parallax effects.

01

Background Modes

The background sets the entire mood of your run. In the Visuals tab you choose a background mode — Light, Dark, or Custom. Light and Dark give you clean, theme-aware backdrops; Custom unlocks full control over colors and animated effects so you can design exactly the look you want.

02

Custom Colors and Flow

In Custom mode you set primary, secondary, and accent colors plus controls for opacity, flow speed, and density. These shape gradients and animated fields into the backdrop, letting you match the background to your channel's palette or the song's vibe.

Technical Parameters
  • Primary / secondary / accent colors
  • Alpha (opacity) and flow speed
  • Density / complexity of the effect
  • Brightness, contrast, and saturation
  • Optional image or video backdrop

The Parallax Effect Library

On top of the base background you can add an animated parallax effect — a moving layer that adds depth and atmosphere. The library is huge (150+ effects) and spans several themes, so there is almost always something that fits the mood you are after.

Image and Video Backdrops

You can also use your own image or video as the backdrop, with fit options (cover, contain, stretch, tile) and an opacity control so the balls stay readable on top. This is useful for branded backgrounds or matching a specific aesthetic.

Pro Tip

For maximum contrast and a "premium" feel, pair a dark background with bright balls and trails. Busy parallax effects look best dimmed so they support the action instead of competing with it.
