The Games Hub (/play)
Free, simple browser games: what is there, how runs and scores work, and what you need.
What /play is
/play is a set of free games that run on the same engine that makes BallEngine videos. Each game takes one of the Studio's modes and gives you something to do in it. There is nothing to install and you do not need an account to play.
The hub lists every game you can play right now. Tap a game to start it. At the bottom are links to the Leaderboard, "Make videos instead" (opens the Studio) and "Back to site". The site's menu bar and footer are hidden on /play so the games get the whole screen.
| Game | What you do | Your score |
|---|---|---|
| Brick Breaker | Keep the ball up, rip through the field | Points |
Scores, personal bests and the leaderboard
When a run ends, the results screen shows your score and your Best. If you beat your best, the screen says "New best".
Your best for each game is remembered in this browser. If you are signed in, a new best is also sent to your account and counts toward Global rankings on the leaderboard. If you are not signed in, the results screen reminds you: "Sign in to put it on the leaderboard".
Tip
- Your best is stored per browser. Clearing site data, using a private window or switching devices starts that browser's best from zero again.
- Only a run that beats your previous best is sent to the leaderboard, so play signed in if you want your top runs counted.
Devices and performance
The games run in any modern browser on desktop or mobile. Like the Studio, they use your device's graphics hardware, so a recent browser with hardware acceleration switched on gives the smoothest play. If a game shows a black play area or stutters, see the Troubleshooting section of Help for graphics and performance checks.
