Tutorials, Help and the Studio Handbook

The guided tutorial, the walkthrough video, the Help window, the Studio handbook and the Creator journey, and how to replay them.

The Guided Tutorial

The first time you open the Studio, a short tutorial walks you through making your first video. It highlights one control at a time and points at what to press: pick Rhythmic or Escape, play it, roll Randomize, shuffle one part, try a setting, and record. Every step has Skip and Next; Skip always works and closes the tutorial quietly. On a phone it also shows you how to open and close the settings.

Tip

  • A few one-tap questions (how you found us, what brings you here, where you will post) may appear while your first video renders. Each answer is optional.

Replaying the Tutorial

  1. 1In Basics, press Replay tutorial at the bottom of the panel.
  2. 2Or open Help on the rail, turn on Restart tutorial and press Done.
  3. 3Or use Guided tutorial in the Quick actions side panel.

Tip

  • Tutorials are remembered per browser. On a new computer the Studio may offer them again; just press Skip.

The Walkthrough Video

A short video tour of the Studio. Open it from the Getting Started row in Basics, from Help > Watch the walkthrough, or from Tutorials on the rail. The preview pauses while it plays so the two soundtracks do not clash.

The Help Window

Help on the rail (Help & shortcuts in the Menu on a phone, or press ?) is the one place for everything that is not making a video: the walkthrough, the Studio handbook, these guides, the FAQs, Send feedback, Feature requests, Contact support, your keyboard shortcuts (touch controls on a phone) and your graphics status.

The Studio Handbook

The Studio handbook explains every setting in the Studio, one lesson at a time. Open it from Help > Studio handbook, or press H. Each lesson lists the settings it teaches. "Walk me through it" closes the handbook and highlights each setting in the Studio one by one; "Show me" highlights a single setting. The search box searches every setting in every section at once.

Your progress is kept in this browser. Lessons about settings above your plan are marked with the plan that includes them and can still be read.

The Creator Journey

On a computer, while one of the full sections is open, a small Creator journey card lists milestones that walk you through the Studio, such as making your first video, styling your look and uploading your own song. Click a milestone to start a short guided tour for it. You can collapse the card or hide it; restarting the tutorial from Help brings it back. When you are signed in, your progress follows you to other devices.
