Securing Your Account with MFA

Turn on two-factor authentication, save your backup codes, and recover access if you lose your device.

01

What Two-Factor Authentication Does

Two-factor authentication (MFA) adds a second step to logging in. After your password, you also enter a short code that changes every 30 seconds, generated by an authenticator app on your phone. Even if someone learns your password, they cannot get in without that code. We strongly recommend enabling it, especially if you have a paid plan or a channel that depends on your account.

02

Before You Start

You will need an authenticator app installed on your phone. Any standard TOTP app works — Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password are all fine. Have your phone nearby before you begin.

03

Turning On MFA

MFA is enabled from the Settings page. The studio walks you through scanning a QR code and confirming a code, then gives you a set of one-time backup codes.

  1. 1Log in and open the Settings page.
  2. 2Find the security / two-factor section and start the MFA setup.
  3. 3A QR code appears. Open your authenticator app and scan it. (Can't scan? Use the manual setup code shown next to the QR.)
  4. 4Your app now shows a 6-digit code for Fun Circle Games. Type the current code into the verification field and confirm.
  5. 5On success you are shown a list of backup codes — save them now (see below).

Scan the QR code (or enter the manual code), then confirm with a 6-digit code.

Pro Tip

The QR code and manual setup code are secrets — anyone who scans them can generate your login codes. Do not share screenshots of this screen.

04

Save Your Backup Codes

When MFA is enabled you receive a set of single-use backup codes. These are your way back in if you ever lose your phone or cannot open your authenticator app. Each code works once. Store them somewhere safe and offline — a password manager, a printed copy in a drawer, or an encrypted note. Do not keep them only on the same phone that runs your authenticator, or you could be locked out if you lose that phone.

Pro Tip

Treat backup codes like spare keys: if you ever use several of them, regenerate a fresh set (see below) so you always have unused codes on hand.

05

Regenerating Backup Codes

If you run low on backup codes or think they may have been exposed, you can generate a new set. From the Settings security section, choose to regenerate backup codes and confirm with a current authenticator code. The old set stops working and a new set is shown — save these the same way.

06

Turning MFA Off

You can disable two-factor authentication from the same security section. For your protection, disabling it requires a current authenticator code to confirm it is really you. Once disabled, future logins only need your password — so consider leaving MFA on unless you have a specific reason to remove it.

07

If You Lose Your Device

If your phone is lost or reset and you cannot generate codes, use a backup code at the login MFA prompt to get in. Once you are signed in, go to Settings, regenerate your backup codes, and set up your authenticator app again on your new device. If you have lost both your device and your backup codes, contact support to recover access.
