Audio Problems

No sound, bounces out of sync, songs missing from the library, and uploads that fail.

I Hear Nothing in the Studio

  1. 1Click once anywhere in the Studio. Browsers block sound until you interact with the page.
  2. 2Check your device volume, that the browser tab is not muted, and that you did not press M (mute preview).
  3. 3Open Audio on the rail and check the volume sliders are not at zero.
  4. 4Check what bounces play in Basics > Sound is not set to silent for this mode.
  5. 5Press Reset and sync in the Audio section to restart playback from the beginning.

Bounces Are Out of Sync With the Music

Timing drifts when the preview cannot keep up. Lower the heaviest settings (see Performance & Optimization): a scene that runs smoothly stays on the beat. Also check Perfect beat bouncing in the Audio section and the mode's own sync settings.

The export is timed frame by frame, so a clip that drifted in a stuttering preview is usually on the beat in the finished video.

An Upload Fails

Upload a MIDI file (.mid or .midi) for note-by-note bounces, or an MP3 or WAV for a song. Uploads are limited to 10 MB per file. Check the file opens in another app and that you are online. If a MIDI plays silence, it may have no notes on the track the Studio picked: open the MIDI tools in the Audio section and choose a different track. See Uploading MIDI and Songs.
