Keyboard Shortcuts
Every Studio keyboard shortcut: playback, the rail, Randomize, Record, seeds, saving, and when shortcuts are paused.
Playback, Undo and Saving
These work in every mode. The full list is also in Help (press ?).

| Space | Play or pause. |
| Space twice quickly | Restart the run from the beginning. |
| M | Mute or unmute the preview. Recordings keep their sound. |
| Esc | Hide or show the interface. |
| Ctrl + Z | Undo the last settings change. |
| Ctrl + Y, or Ctrl + Shift + Z | Redo. |
| Alt + S | Quick save on this device. |
| Shift + Alt + R | Reset every setting to its default. Asks first. |
| ? | Open Help. |
| H | Open the Studio handbook. |

Tip
- The number keys on the number pad work too. Hover a rail item to see its number.
Randomize, Record and the Top Bar
Single letters press the top bar buttons for you. They do nothing when the button is greyed out or hidden.

| R | Randomize. |
| Shift + R | Randomize into a random mode, for this one roll. |
| C | Record a clip of the length you picked. Press C again to stop. If Render on is set to Cloud, C starts a cloud render. |
| G | Seed generator. Press G again to cancel the search. |
| L | Next clip length: 15s, 30s, 59s. |
| T | Switch between the light and dark Studio. |
| P | Pin or unpin the settings. |
Tip
- Letter shortcuts never fire together with Ctrl, Alt or Command, so browser shortcuts such as Ctrl + R work as usual.
Mode Keys

| S | Escape | Freezes or unfreezes the ring rotation, handy for lining up a shot. |
| B | Spiral | Throws the ball. |
When Shortcuts Do Nothing
Shortcuts are ignored while you type in a text box, a number box or a dropdown, and while a window is open over the Studio (Help, the MIDI editor, the plans window). While a recording or render runs every shortcut is off, except C, which stops the recording. While a guided tutorial runs, Escape ends it.
On a Mac
The Studio shortcuts use the Control key, not Command: Control + Z to undo and Control + Y to redo. Alt is the Option key, so quick save is Option + S. The number and letter shortcuts need no extra key.
