Using the Studio on a Phone
The phone layout: the preview on top, the settings sheet, the top bar, the play controls and the Menu.
The Phone Layout
On a phone the preview stays at the top of the screen and the settings slide up from the bottom as a sheet. Drag the handle (or tap it) to switch the sheet between half and full height, or drag it down to see only the preview. Turn the phone sideways and the sheet moves to the side.
The top of the sheet has a row of tabs you can scroll: Basics, then the same sections as on a computer (Engine, Physics, Arts, Audio, Video, Cloud, Publish and Tutorials). Everything a computer can change, a phone can change too. There is no settings search on a phone.
Record, Play and Switch Mode
The bar at the top of the screen holds the clip length chips (15s, 30s, 59s) and Record. The play controls float at the bottom of the preview: Seed, Restart, Randomize, Play/Pause and Menu.
Two round buttons sit over the preview: Settings (Hide settings while the sheet is open) and Switch mode, which opens the list of modes so you can change mode without opening the settings.
Exporting on a Phone
On a phone, Quality starts at 720p · 30 fps so the recording finishes reliably. Pick 1080p · 60 fps in Basics > Export if your plan includes it. Keep the Studio open and on screen while it records. Or set Render on to Cloud: the video is made on our servers and you can leave. The Rendering & Export guides explain both.
What Is Different on a Phone
Side panels are not shown, because there is no room beside the frame. Keyboard shortcuts are replaced by the buttons. Info icons open when you tap them. 3D modes are much heavier on a phone, and the Studio warns you the first time you open one.
