Music Rights and Copyright
Who is responsible for the music in your videos, what the Song Library and AI-written songs allow, and how to avoid claims.
You are responsible for music you upload
You keep ownership of everything you upload. BallEngine does not check who owns an uploaded song or MIDI file, and it does not obtain any music licences for you. Rendering or exporting a video does not give you the right to publish someone else's music. Platforms such as YouTube, TikTok and Instagram may still detect, claim, mute or remove a video that uses copyrighted music, even though it was made in BallEngine.
A MIDI file of a well-known song is still that song. Converting a recording to MIDI, slicing it, or changing its instrument does not change who owns the composition.
Tip
- Read the Terms of Service section "User Responsibility & Copyright" and the DMCA Policy for the full terms.
Music you can use with confidence
These sources avoid third-party claims on the music itself.
| Source | Status |
|---|---|
| Songs you write with AI (Write a new song, AI Song) | Original music generated for you. You may use it commercially in the videos you make here, subject to your plan. |
| Song Library | 1,000 original songs written for BallEngine. Safe to monetize in the videos you make here. |
| Music you composed yourself | Yours. |
| Public-domain classical pieces | The composition is free to use. A recording of it may still be owned by the performer, so use a MIDI or your own recording. |
| Music licensed to you | Follow the licence, including where you may post. |
| Built-in Tunes | Some are based on well-known themes owned by others. BallEngine cannot license those compositions to you. |
| Uploaded songs and MIDI of popular music | Your responsibility. Expect claims on monetized channels. |
Commercial use of your videos
Paid plans include a commercial licence for the videos you create. That licence covers your simulation and BallEngine's own material; it does not extend to someone else's song inside your video. For monetized channels, build on AI-written songs, the Song Library, your own music or properly licensed tracks.
