What happens when a renewal payment fails, when a plan expires, and how to get access back.
When a Renewal Payment Fails
If a renewal payment cannot be taken (an expired card, not enough funds, a bank decline), your account page shows "Payment failed. You keep access for 7 days." while you sort it out.
- 1Open your account page.
- 2Press "Manage payment method" if it is shown and update your card, or press "Update or resubscribe".
- 3Once a payment goes through, the status returns to Active and nothing else changes.
When a Plan Expires
A plan expires when a cancelled subscription reaches its end date or a failed payment is not resolved. Your account then moves to the free Starter Studio plan, and a banner across the site offers to renew.
What changes: paid settings lock again, exports go back to the free allowance with the watermark, 1080p, 2K and 4K are no longer available, and the monthly cloud render credits stop. What does not change: your account, saves, presets, songs and uploads are kept, and credits you bought stay on your balance. If your storage is over the free limit, new uploads are blocked, but nothing is deleted. Renew from the banner or with "Renew plan".
