Connecting Your Social Accounts
How the connect flow works, which platforms you can connect, what each one needs, and how account slots work.
The Connect Flow
Accounts are connected in one place: Automation, Accounts tab (/automation/accounts). Each platform has a row. Press "Connect" and you are sent to that platform's own sign-in and permission screen. Approve it, and you come back to the same row, which now says "Posting as [account name]" with a green dot. We never see your password, and no keys are copied by hand.
Connecting needs an active automation plan. Without one, pressing Connect takes you to the Plan tab instead of the sign-in page.
- 1Open Automation and go to the Accounts tab.
- 2Check the "Posting as" brand at the top. The account will belong to that brand.
- 3Press "Connect" on the platform row.
- 4Sign in on the platform's own page and approve the access it asks for.
- 5You return to the Accounts tab. The row now shows the account you will post as.
Platforms and What Each Needs
YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram and X can be connected from the Accounts tab. Threads, Pinterest and Snapchat keep working for accounts that already connected them and appear in your list only in that case. If a platform is not in your Accounts list, it is not available to connect on your account.
| Platform | Posts as | What you need |
|---|---|---|
| YouTube | Shorts and full videos on your channel | A Google account that owns or manages the channel. |
| TikTok | Direct posts to your profile | Any TikTok account. Your account settings (privacy options, max length) load in the form. |
| Reels and videos on a Facebook Page | Admin access to at least one Facebook Page. You must grant the Page during sign-in. | |
| Reels on your profile | An Instagram professional account (Business or Creator). No Facebook Page needed. | |
| X | Videos on your timeline | Any X account. Captions cannot contain links. |
| Threads | Video threads on your profile | Shown only if already connected. |
| Video pins on a board | At least one board. Shown only if already connected. | |
| Snapchat | Spotlight videos | A Public Profile. Shown only if already connected. |
Row Status Messages
The line under each platform name tells you whether it can actually publish.
| Message | Meaning | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Posting as [name] / Connected and ready. | Connected and working. | - |
| Signed in to Meta, but no Facebook Page came through. | You signed in but did not grant a Page. | Press Reconnect and select a Page you manage. |
| Signed in to Pinterest, but there is no board to pin to yet. | Connected with no boards. | Create a board on Pinterest, then Reconnect. |
| Signed in to Snapchat, but this account has no Public Profile. | Spotlight needs a Public Profile. | Create one in Snapchat, then Reconnect. |
| No slots left (button) | Every account slot on your plan is in use. | Disconnect another account, or move to a bigger plan. |
Account Slots
A plan decides how many connected accounts you can keep active, not which platforms you may use. One connected account is one slot: a Facebook Page and an Instagram account are two. Lite includes 2 slots, counted across all your brands together, so you pick the platforms that matter most. Growth, Scale, Max have no slot cap: each brand can connect one account on every platform.
The Accounts tab shows your count, for example "1 of 2 account slots used". Reconnecting an account you already have never takes a new slot.
Tip
- If you move to a plan with fewer slots, nothing is disconnected. The accounts you connected first stay active and the rest become read-only until you free a slot or move up again.
Accounts Belong to a Brand
Every connection belongs to the brand shown in "Posting as" at the top of the Accounts tab. Each brand holds at most one account per platform. To post to a second YouTube channel, add a second brand and connect the other channel there, instead of disconnecting and reconnecting. See Managing Multiple Brands.
What You Are Granting
The permission screen comes from the platform, not from us, and lists exactly what you allow: uploading and posting on your behalf, plus enough profile information to show which account is connected. The platform gives us a token that you can withdraw at any time by disconnecting here or from the platform's own app settings. Connecting never posts anything by itself.
