Publishing to X (Twitter)
Connect an X account and post video, with the one caption rule that trips people up.
Connecting X
Select X on the Publish tab and press "Connect X". Sign in and approve posting access. Alongside YouTube, X is one of the platforms advertised as available today. X publishing is included on the Pro Creator and Studio Elite plans.
No Links in the Caption
X is the one platform where a link in your caption is rejected before it posts. This is deliberate: X charges far more to deliver posts that contain links, so the form blocks them to protect your reach and your cost. Write your caption without a URL. If you want to point people somewhere, put the link in a reply after the post is live, or in your profile.
If your post will not go through on X, check the caption for a URL. Removing it is almost always the fix.
Posting a Video
Choose your source, write a link-free caption, and publish now or schedule. Your video posts to your X timeline. To disconnect, press "Disconnect" on the X card and confirm; posts already on your timeline stay put.
