Disconnecting an Account

How to remove a connected platform, what happens to videos you already posted, and how to reconnect later.

01

Removing a Connection

Open the Publish tab, click the connected platform's chip, and use the "Disconnect" button on its card. You are asked to confirm, because disconnecting revokes our access to that account and deletes the stored connection. After you confirm, the card returns to showing a connect button, and a short status line confirms the account was disconnected.

  1. 1Open the Publish tab and select the connected platform.
  2. 2Press "Disconnect" on the card.
  3. 3Confirm in the dialog that appears.
  4. 4The card returns to a connect button; the connection is removed.

What Happens to Your Posts

Disconnecting only removes the link between our app and your account. Videos you already published stay live on the platform exactly as they were, disconnecting does not delete or hide anything you posted. What it does stop is future publishing: any scheduled jobs or Autopilot runs that depend on that connection will no longer be able to post until you reconnect.

Pro Tip

If you have posts scheduled or Autopilot running on a platform, reconnect (or remove those jobs) after disconnecting, or they will fail when their time comes.

03

Reconnecting Later

Reconnecting is the same as connecting for the first time: press the connect button and approve access again. You can reconnect the same account, or connect a different account on that platform. If you only need to refresh an expired connection, reconnecting to the same account restores publishing without changing anything else.
