Publishing to YouTube

Connect a YouTube channel and upload Shorts or regular videos, with title, description and privacy control.

01

Connecting Your Channel

On the Publish tab, select YouTube and press "Connect YouTube". Sign in with the Google account that owns the channel and approve upload access. YouTube is the one platform available to connect on every plan, including the free Starter Studio, so it is the best first connection to make.

02

Uploading a Video

With YouTube connected, the card becomes an upload form. Choose your source (latest render or a local file), then fill in a title and description. There is an AI title button that suggests a title based on the simulation you made, which is handy when you are posting a lot. Pick a privacy setting, choose "Publish now" or "Schedule", and press publish.

  1. 1Select YouTube on the Publish tab.
  2. 2Choose the video source: latest render or local file.
  3. 3Enter a title (required) and a description. Use the AI title button for a suggestion.
  4. 4Set privacy: Public, Unlisted or Private.
  5. 5Choose Publish now or Schedule (pick a date and time).
  6. 6Press publish. Once the job is accepted you can close the tab.
03

Privacy and Vertical Format

YouTube defaults new uploads to Private so a mistake never goes public. Switch it to Unlisted (anyone with the link) or Public when you are ready. For YouTube Shorts, export a 9:16 vertical clip in the Video tab, a vertical video under the Shorts length limit is automatically treated as a Short by YouTube. A title is required; the description is optional but worth filling for reach.

Pro Tip

Leaving privacy on Private is a good way to review the upload on YouTube first, then flip it to Public from YouTube Studio once you are happy.

04

Disconnecting

To stop posting to this channel, press "Disconnect" on the YouTube card and confirm. Your existing YouTube videos are untouched; only the connection is removed. See Disconnecting an Account for the full picture.
